The World Resources Forum 2025 (WRF’25) brought together global leaders from policy, industry, science, and civil society in Geneva, Switzerland, to discuss strategies for resource governance and management. The conference serves as a key platform for knowledge exchange and solutions-oriented dialogue, fostering resource strategies that align global objectives with local needs.

Within this framework, the MaDiTraCe Project was actively represented by its partners BRGM, DMT GROUP, Leiden University, and Montanuniversität Leoben, who contributed to several thematic sessions at the forum:

  • Approaches to Responsible Sourcing – with interventions by Thania Nowaz (DMT GROUP) and Paulina Fernandez-Muñoz (Montanuniversität Leoben).
  • Innovation, Design, and Digital Solutions – presented by Yanan Liang (Leiden University).
  • Pathways for Managing the Impacts of Mining – delivered by Sónia Cunha (Leiden University).

The participation of the MaDiTraCe Project at WRF’25 highlights its commitment to advancing responsible practices, fostering innovation, and strengthening international collaboration to tackle today’s pressing challenges in natural resource management.
