MaDiTraCe Project, in collaboration with its partner EIT RawMaterials, hosted an interactive workshop on 11 March in Brussels during the Giga Europe, marking an important milestone as the project approaches its final phase.
The session brought together industry experts and key stakeholders to address one of the most pressing challenges in the minerals sector: ensuring reliable tracking of raw materials across increasingly complex global supply chains. Discussions focused on both the technical and operational barriers to effective traceability, as well as emerging opportunities to strengthen transparency.
During the workshop, project partners presented key results and insights developed throughout the lifetime of MaDiTraCe. Contributions from leading organizations including BRGM, DMT GROUP, Spherity, and Alfred H Knight highlighted innovative digital solutions and collaborative approaches aimed at improving data reliability and enabling more responsible sourcing of raw materials.
The workshop demonstrated how advanced technologies and cross-sector collaboration can enhance traceability systems, fostering greater trust and sustainability across raw material value chains.
